Mukhammad Kholid Mawardi is an academic staff of Business Administration Department in Brawijaya University, Indonesia. His research areas are strategic management, business ethic and small business development. He has adequate research experiences in small, medium and enterprises (SMEs) for both, practical and academical purposes. He has experiences in providing  assistance for local governments in Indonesia to formulate policy of SME development. His current project is the development of Indonesian SME clusters. His professional affiliation is  International Council for Small Business (ICSB), the largest small business association in the world.  Mawardi has several contribution to this organization by presenting his academic works in  several international conferences, such as The 56 ICSB International Conference in Stockholm, Sweden and The Annual Global Entrepenership Conference in Washington DC, US.  Mawardi is one of the founders of Research Group on SME Development, Brawijaya University. He hold Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in business policy from Brawijaya University and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from  Faculty of Business, University of Wollongong, Australia. He also studied about local economy development and SME Policy at Rotterdam University, Netherland under the NESO_NUFFIC scholarship.
